KBS announced today that all sports and recreational activities are now allowed without restrictions including vaccination status and time limit effective tomorrow.

Sports and recreational activities can now be fully implemented in line with the Transition to Endemic phase which begins today, says Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu.

Datuk Seri Ahmad Faizal Azumu has advised all quarters to always observe the SOP and exercise self-discipline when participating in sports and recreational activities.

Relaxation on COVID-19 prevention SOP for all individual sports and recreational activities which do not involve physical contact is only given to areas that come under Phase Three of the PPN.

Sports and recreational activities in open areas without physical contact that comply with physical distancing of at least 1.5 metres are allowed from May 8.

The special session of the National Security Council (MKN) has decided to temporarily suspend all sports and recreational activities in areas placed under the MCO from tomorrow.

The permission was subject to the movement control order in force in the areas concerned, as well as the permission of the relevant authorities,
